Caleb Lewis, Chicago Employment and Lemon Law Attorney
A solo Chicago attorney representing Illinois employees and vehicle owners with direct, personal involvement from initial review through resolution.
Understanding the person at the root of the problem is the first step toward representation.
Caleb Lewis is a Chicago lawyer who defends Illinois employees and vehicle owners confronting issues that threaten their jobs, financial stability, and daily lives.
What's at stake here
Employment disagreements are very personal. Discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and failure to provide legally necessary accommodations can jeopardize not only a person's employment, but also their ability to sustain themselves and their family. Vehicle issues impose a different, but equally significant, burden. When a manufacturer or dealer fails to honor a warranty, consumers may be stuck paying for a car they cannot operate safely or reliably.
Understanding Comes Before Strategy
Caleb started Lewis Litigation to help people deal with issues that affect their daily lives. He believes successful representation starts with listening. Before deciding how to handle a situation, Caleb takes the time to understand what happened, how it affected the client, and what a meaningful resolution would look like for that individual.
Perspective From the Other Side
Caleb formerly defended businesses and manufacturers in cases similar to those in which he now represents ordinary citizens. That experience taught him how businesses, insurers, and defense lawyers analyze claims, weigh risk, plan litigation, and respond when a dispute escalates. Today, he uses that same insight to represent Illinois employees and consumers in employment, lemon law, and vehicle warranty cases. Employment Law, Illinois Lemon Law, and Vehicle Warranty matters.
Personal Representation, by Design
Lewis Litigation is a solo practice by design. Caleb personally reviews every prospective case, works directly with every client he accepts, and is responsible for strategy and preparation from start to finish. A focused caseload ensures continuity: clients always know who is handling their matter and can trust that he has their back and will deliver the highest degree of advocacy possible.
Professional Background
Caleb earned his Juris Doctor and Diploma of Comparative Law from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. During law school, he served as a student attorney in the LSU Wrongful Conviction Clinic and worked with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, the Innocence Project New Orleans, and Aflac's in-house legal team.
He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from McNeese State University, and took part in Colorado State University's Semester at Sea program, studying global economies while traveling to 13 destinations on four continents.
Caleb is licensed to practice in Illinois. His practice concentrates on employment litigation, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, FMLA, and ADA claims, as well as Illinois Lemon Law and vehicle warranty disputes under state and federal law.
From a Small Town to Chicago—and Beyond
Caleb, who grew up in a small town, came to Chicago in search of new possibilities and experiences. His enthusiasm for travel has since taken him to around 17 countries. He met his wife in Chicago, and the two now live there with their son.
